2000 Grand Am - Typical running temperature
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am with a 3.4L V6 engine and am wondering
what others see for a nominal running temperature when at highway speed on, say, a 75 degree day?
Mine runs around 195-200 F and I wonder if that'* normal? I just replaced intake manifold and gaskets and temperature sensor and not sure if I still have an
overheat problem (had a leak in the intake manifold).

Yup you're good.
Does it maintain about same at idle for a couple of minutes? If yes then you're still good.
Does it lose coolant at all, from one cool morning cool engine to the next? If no then you're still good.

Just replaced the gaskets on the intake manifold after it was
leaking coolant following an overheat. The temp rises quickly
(in less than 3 or 4 miles of driving) to 202 F and stays there...
idle or at full power. It'* been a long time since it behaved like
this so I was wondering if the accelerated heating up of the
engine coolant and rise to 202 was normal.
I appreciate your help, guys.
