Default Ok, Have pics now...

Just finished porting and polishing my LIM, TB, and touching up the already ported GEN III M90.
I decided not to put the I-win rockers in just yet, so I am going to get a 3.4" from Nate to run until I decide whether I want to get some different rockers or use these.
I know now would be the ideal time to put rockers in (with the engine out and no SC, wiring, sensors, etc.... in the way of the rear bank, but I am willing to do that later.

Also since I remembered I had a few $$$ in my paypal account which I haven't used in about 2 yrs and I was browsing ZZP'* website I decided to snag a ZZP PCM and the used UD WP pulley for $140 shipped (am getting a little refund for the extra PCM I am sending them also). Don't worry Intense, I intend to get a PCM from you guys in a while, but I have decided to skip the Standard PCM and get the custom tune, but I want to wait until I get rockers in and possibly headers and possibly switch to 3.29 gearing in the spring.

I also picked up a new Trans Cooler (same one as I had on the 95), Belden Max 8MM wires (requested 95 L67 as they are 8MM vs the suggested 7MM for the Series II), 180* t-stat, Autolite 605 plugs and a a few Justice Brothers products (coolant additive to promote flow,)

So now I just have to get my PEM'*, 3" DP, 3" cat and new IMCO OEM F-body replacement muffler and the car will be how I will drive it for the winter.

Motor is going in tomorrow or Saturday, but won't run the car until the PCM gets here. Then the body shop pulls it onto the rack to straighten the core support and I then get to drop the coolers in and intsall the bumpers and headlamps and take it for a drive to get the muffler and rest of the exhaust installed.
Can't wait. This car may not be reborn an instant 13 second car, but it should be a healthy 14.2-14.4 car with the the port work, 3.4" pulley, UD WP pulley, 3" exhaust and PCM.
13'* will come with 3.2" pulley, race gas, rockers, and headers or power log in spring.
This is going to be interesting trying to launch it on the 235/55/16'* which were extremely grippy on my 95, but no doubt the 99 will be a bit stronger.

When you do pics..please take inlet pics of the SC.. I'm interested in what they did internally.

Nothing... compared to you. It was smoothed very slightly, but it'* maybe a 10-15% improvement over the 99 M90 (untouched so far) off the SSEi'* original motor.

Was planning on taking pics anyhow.... I didn't clean the inlet yet -there'* some build-up of junk since it was ported by the guy on MNCGP. Will try to clean that out before I take the pics.

10-15%...Wow..that'* a lot.

I doubt I made a 5% change in mine. Now I'm really interested in seeing these.

Why not toss in a cam if you have it out? Cheaper the rockers if you do the labor yourself, and more power... :?:

Sorry, meant smoothed out the roughness 10-15%. Not smooth by any means.
Guess I should be a little more detailed.

Rockers, springs, retainers, valve cover gaskets and rocker bolts = around $450 with what I have into the I-wins.
Cam, head gaskets, springs, cam install kit, and all the other goodies...... around $1G installed -I'm not installing a cam with my skills.... er lack thereof.

Sorry, forgot the camera at the shop (but I'm going back for the finishing prep work for the swap (switching tensioners, motor mounts, oil filter bracket, and other little odd-n-ends).

You don't need springs, retainers, pushrods with the IWIN 1.9'*, that'* the beauty of them. If my 235K mile springs can handle them, yours shouldn't have any problem. If you decide to upgrade the rockers you're going to have to tear the engine back down to that point anyhow. You might as well use them if you have them. By the way, it'* going to take some serious traction for you to get into the 13'* with those mods. It took a 3.1 pulley and 100 octane in my car to run the 13.84....with a 1.9xx sixty foot.

I have my fingers crossed that the motor having 38k will give me a little more oomph, but I could be wrong seeing how my brothers SSEi w/220k and Sonoma_ZR2'* with more than that did when they were stock.
Also, I'm kinda hoping that I can match Sonoma'* current power (at least when he was .0xx away from 13'* @ WCBF 06). All he had was an Intense Stage II upgrade, with slicks. I would have pretty much all that, minus the shift kit and valve springs, but I have a ported SC, 3.4" MPS, ported TB and LIM with ported mani'*, full 3" exhaust and a UD WP pulley. Not sure if I'll be running slicks yet though so that will be a major factor.
Again, until I put the rockers or GEN V on I don't expect anything better than a 14.3-14.4.

But I figure at this point the point is kinda pointless until I hit the track for some real #'*. Sucks that it'* going to take 5 months until I see a track. But I will be seeing a Dyno, hopefully before the new year.

Here'* a few of the pics of the work... nothing spectacular, and the LIM wasn't done to perfection as the L32 will be going replacing it.
Also, the TB and LIM pics were taken before the final run through the parts washing bin to clean all the metal shrapnel etc...
