Default Engine Swap

I own a 95 Bonneville and the engine is being replaced this spring. I was wondering if i could swap the regular 3.8 vin(K) engine with the supercharged engine?

You'll need engine, transmission and PCM for it to all work out right.

Here is a website that specializes in 3800 supercharged engine swaping.

Oh and welcome to the forums

Yes, it'* possible. The trans will bolt up but won't handle the power as well as a hd trans. Your gonna need a custom chip to pull timing and alter the fuel curves. DarthFiero on here (www.gmtuners.com) is running a turbo'ed series 2 (firebird upper/lower intake manifold and L67 bottom end) with a 4t60-e in his fiero. He is also using your computer with a custom chip he made. I'm sure he could make the chip for you as he has done some work to mine.
He also can reprogram the chip to run off diffrent gears so you could get a stronger 4t60-hd with a 2.84 final drive.
Now i'm not 100% with what i'm about to suggest but....
I know the 4t60-e and the 4t60-hd have the same chain drive. It'* 35:35 or 1:1. What actually determines the final drive is the differential, so if you replace the 3.06 differential with a 2.84 diff and cover, you can have a stronger diff that won't blow into pieces under the power of the L67. The dif, from what i've read is a serious weak spot in the 4t6x-e trannys. With that replaced, your tranny should hold up better.
Then there'* higher stall torque converter that'* in the 4t60-e, that is also weaker and you might want to replace that w/ a lower stall hd torque converter.
Seems like alot of work but it'* a possible other option to replacing the entire trans if you don't have alot of miles on it or a rebuild.
ohh and the L67'* out of 4t65 equipped trannys have a diffrent flex plate that won't work with a 4t60 tranny.
ok, i'm done talking.
