Default Throttle Body Spacers?

I've seen them all over the place. I've seen 1/2, 1, 1 1/2 inch spacers all claiming to help improve hp and etc. I don't think a throttle body spacer is made for our car (L36)but I think a TB spacer is made for the L67 because I remember reading "Helps isolate heat from the supercharger from getting to the TB" somewhere. Would it be benefical for the L36 cars. Would a inch spacer help keep the heat away and add power, etc?

I've just started thinking about it...

(also if this has been exhausting discussed already, please delete it)

I don't think it would be worth the money at all.
Th L67 spacer won't work well with the L36 TB/UIM because the openings are shaped very different.

Well, I know the L36 TB/UIM are different but what if a custom TB spacer was made that fitted the opening exactly, theorically of course.

Might be worth a shot. I don't know that many people have tried this with an L36. Theoretically it would have the effect of increasing the length of the intake runners, which should help the low end a little.

It wouldn't make the intake runners longer, it would just add a tiny bit of plenum volume.
If anything is heating up the TB on a L36 I think it'* the exhaust x-over, not the UIM.

You're right, I do agree too. I got that part covered. I have a heat wrapped crossover that i need to put on soon. (i know there'* issues with heat wrap but the crossover is basically one piece (I think?) so there won't be structural issues)

Just trying to think of ways to improve some things on the L36...

I have one on my Sonoma (4.3 Vortec), I really don't hot rod around in it so I really don't know about perfromance. I got it for gas milage, and it actually helped, it raised it about 1-2 mpg depending on conditions.
