Default O yea it pulls nice now power I never knew!

I just finished gutting my airbox out and cutting the front part of the box out (the part with the small hole smaller than the TB) and I replaced all my spark plugs becasue they were bosch plantiums that were in there that were all (I mean like 4-6 of them) grounding out on the engine u could see bright spark comming from inside each spark plug when it was dark out I replaced them with autolites and wow that car pulls so much harder than I ever thought it could do never felt that power since I bought the car at 132k now 136k ish and the sound from the gutted airbox sounds spectacular u can hear that over anything..... that puts me in a good mood now if i just had some gas money to drive some more lol... There is also no more backfire in the exaust when dry reving it..... The tires acually squeal nice from a dead stop now. I used a jigsaw to cut the front part of the air box out I was using a hacksaw but it was taking to long and I cut my finger open with it lol.

Bosch Plats? No WONDER it made a diff.

Those are about the worst plugs you can put in a 3800. What you've done is restored some lost power. Enjoy it. And do the PCV, fuel filter, wires, and clean your TB before you start modding.

Gutted and ported my air box as well. Did you drop in a K&N filter :?:
I am changing my plugs (along with other items) but am going with NGK plugs.

paper filters flow better, but k&n lasts longer. paper filters get dirty very easily

I disagree. Paper filters do NOT flow better. I've seen plenty of independent test data to that end myself.

im sure you've read plenty of K&N propoganda

k&n is still better since it lasts longer, and is easily cleaned/re-oiled, but a GOOD paper filter will outflow it
