Default Headers on a '97

Anyone put headers on a '97? I see the TOGS listed for 98+ years. Is there a difference in the engine compartment that would effect fit?

Also, will a high flow cat, such as a carsound, throw a code?

TOGS do fit though you will need to modify the tranny torque bracket in the front. Otherwise your good to go with a Carsound 94009 cat 3" (in and out - may require a reducer) and no codes.

Depends on the cat. The SLP did throw a code on my car but a quick PCM flash fixed that. Also, depending on the style of headers you choose, you may need to get a prebent dipstick tube.

Yep, you'll have to remove almost 3/8" off the corner of the bracket.

I removed the entire bracket. Me and a buddy were tired, it was late, and pissed off. Otherwise I used a spoof for the rear o2 and everything was good to go.
