Probably wishfull thinking , but is there anything else out there besides removing the throttle body screen, gutting the air box and hollowing out the cat?

Keep the engine in good as tune as possible.
Remove the spare, jack, carpet, rear seat, passenger seat, glove box, cigarette lighter, fuzzy dice... what am I forgetting?

Actually, all kidding aside, the probabaly "cheapest" & yet "BEST" mod would be a T-Stat change. Most 180 Stats can be had for well under $20.00, or even a UAP/NAPA one will work too for $5!

Here are few free mods for the GP. Maybe some of them will carry over to the Bonne.

w/ the spare and jack all the stuff holding it down could probably be removed or replaced w/ something else

The things we've mentioned are really about it for free mods without starting to spend money. So you've gotta ask yourself one question, "Do I feel lucky?".... wait, that'* not the question, the question is, "Do I wanna spend money on this heap?" Well, do ya punk?
Sorry, it'* a Dirty Harry thing, I couldn't resist.

I think it'* fun to mod my cars a little so there'* more power than stock. Nothing too radical, just enough to notice when I punch it. It'* very satisfying.
What do you mean in your signature by 'running on 5 cylinders'? Is something wrong with your engine?
