where do i stick the sender on a 4t65e-hd?
could somone give me a pic i looked at the write up in technfo but there are no pics.

On top of the trans case, next to the crossover pipe. Get an electrical gauge as opposed to mechanical. It'll make it much easier. Or consider using the PCM'* data for the temp by getting an Aeroforce scangauge.

I suspect I was the victim of false high readings on mine until I protected it from the heat of the crossover.

Yea I installed mine in march and still victim to higher readings due to the crossover, what did you use as a heatshield to protect the sender from that heat?

That may melt.

I made a custom heatshield that comes off the top of the crossover, and down the side near the sender. Then I also wrapped it in scrap material from my intake insulation 'Cool Tube'.
