Did I get a deal! !

Ok now.... everyone in unison .....

Was at the local "Pep Boys" shopping for compound, and wax,
They're restocking the store ( for Fall??) and have lots of discontinued items on clearance.
When .....what do I come across? A display piece, for a cheap K&N look alike...
a third world clone, with a red plastic filter cone cover.
It'* got something similar to the" Star Trek TNG" communicator shape,
molded into it'* end... Very Futuristic, I must say.... Yeah Right!
Well , it would look good to a Poser....I guess

Now the good part....
The clone, is attached to a perfectly good ($40.00) 3 " aluminum rice pipe,
with the 45 deg bend, nicely polished with no scratches dings or dents,
about 18 inches long, containing two fittings welded in near the bend.
Used to demonstrate the application of the clone...to people withouth teeth on their gears.

I bring the whole thing, up to a clerk, and ask if this is "on sale?????"
Well, he has to ask the store manager... who obviously thinks, I want the gaudy red clone filter,
which is damaged and has a crack, more like a tear....
in the rubber flange that connects it to the pipe.

AND.......

He says, "Well it'* split......so there is no warranty, no return, and the sale is final!....
It'* normally $25.00......you can have it for $10.00 .
Well ! ......I wasn't about to correct him, as he WAS the manager, and was totally, in charge.. the final word...The Store Entity...

So, I ponder......
Hmmmm..... should I spend that much money, on a "broken Part" ? ?

SOLD!!! ..........without a moment'* hesitation.
(I could always use it on a shop vac....exhaust )

Got out of the store, removed and trashed the clone, and left smiling big!

That was a killer deal,I wound up pating 35 for mine when I got it.

BTW.... Anyone know what the Integra uses in those two ports, near the bend ??

Not sure,mine had caps on them when I got it.

Just thinking..... they might be good for an IATemp Gauge,
and an Intake manifold pressure gauge port..
for giggles, since they're already there.....
