Turtle on the dyno

Turtle asked me to post these images of his dyno runs. He's not too computer literate ;)
I'll leave the full explanation to him, but in a nutshell, none were done with NOS.
The first is with NO turbo:

This is with the turbo, but obvious fuel management problems:

And this was from this morning. Still fuel problems, although the AFR graph isn't on this one:

And finally one of his dyno shop guys (owner I believe):

Wow. get a stronger pump eh? got to have a bonne over 7....

J Wikoff 03-24-2004 12:27 AM

 Impressive.

A side note about the twin dips of power in the second graph. I have some friends on the UofI Formula SEA team and they have a similar problem with their dyno graphs. At least one of them suspects certain frequencies are killing power. Possibly the exhaust causing reverse pulses and extra back pressure. Is this possible, or are these engineers thinking too hard?

The first is with NO turbo: ..First sheet is the 95 series 2 motor......custom-cam/forged-30-over pistons/head ported-polished..bench-flowed/roller-rockers/chip/new billet crank/blueprinted -balanced/custom-headers

http://www.williamwren.com/turtle/dyno1.jpe

This is with the turbo, but obvious fuel management problems: ....this is the start of fuel problems..... not the pump right now ...flow was not good..still workin on bugs

http://www.williamwren.com/turtle/dyno2.jpg

And this was from this morning. Still fuel problems, although the AFR graph isn't on this one:new pump/manifold/fuelrails........up the boost hp numbers where good lost some tqr somewhere ......then blowoff valve didn`t want to work ...not payin it enough banana`s i guess

http://www.williamwren.com/turtle/dyno3.gif

And finally one of his dyno shop guys (owner I believe): Don..he can work wonders with any motor ....good crewchief for our 7sec doorslammer also....

 Wow. Truly impressive. He must have really beefed up his drivetrain to withstand that kind of power.

Tranny`s been gone over with a fine toothcoomb.....Hugh our trnny guy built it...to withstand high stress ...so far bullet prove.....i`ll redo my profile with cam spec`s and tranny spec`s......first run last july fresh out box was 13.041/118.29....
