Default 4T60-E TO HD or possible 4T65 HD

I have a 96 bonnie se with a 99 l67 swap and it finally started taking out the stock tranny .
I can still drive it for about 300 miles or so with no trouble then sometime i have issues just driving in the city for about 30 miles . It starts with over drive going out then eventually 4 and 3 . then after the call cools for about 30 mins its gtg . Not to sure what the issue is but the tranny fluid did get burn alittle :( and it leaks some out of the driver side . But i want to do the swap before it finally goes . I want to atleast do the 4T60-e hd swap and MAYBE the 4t65 hd depending everything that is involved with it . with the 60 am i going to need different axles or have a problem mounting it ?

Also is it bad idea to run with the supercharger by pass closed at all time . Sadly it has improved my gas mileage and the low to mid throttle torque is awesome but not to sure if it will aid in premature failure of anything

Yeah...it'* very bad for knock and for the trans.

You coudl go either way, 60 or 65. The 65 is change the connector for the trans and add 5 wires to the pcm. Then put in the right trans parameters and off ya go.

With a 60-hd you'll use the same axles (diff is the same size) and gain almost nothing.

Go with a 65-hd.

For the coolant bypass, keep it up. It'* a regular thing that we block off the coolant flow to the throttle body, and it doesn't mess with any mechanics. I think it'* just there for emissions so you get hotter intake air.

the trans swap is the same with the exception that you need to swap the trans connector and add 5 pins from that connector to the pcm.

Hey guys. not to muddy up the waters but I was wondering how this would apply with a 1996 SE SC2? I believe my chain is stretched. I found a newly installed 65hd out of a wrecked 98 GTP. Since I have a 96+ model, would I still have to do the re-pin or axle swaps?
