Default Adding some zip.

I see potential in a 1999 Bonneville SSEi, and want to further enhance the performance of this car. After researching around here, I've come up with a basic setup to help myself out at a red light with crappy rice next to me . Here is what I've come up with:
Thrasher Cold Air Intake
3.4 press-on pulley.
Goodyear Gatorback belt.
Or the link at the bottom of my post.
I'm in the hunt for lower end torque to get me moving quicker. I also understand that exhaust will most likely need to be upgraded as well. I've come to ask you this then: Is this a reasonable upgrade for what I am looking for and what else will need to be added to ensure full potential of upgrades.
Since there is no stupid question, will any of the air intake options fit my 99 Bonneville? I see 2000 and up listed but not 99 and would hate to purchase the wrong one! Again if you come up with further ideas or words of wisdom, please share them with me! Thanks for the help!

I think you'd be better off with the Intense FWI than the Thrasher. I can't think of anyone with that intake on a pre-2000 model.

I'd vote for this. It gets you a PCM too.

Otherwise you can do your own FWI like I did and buy the pulley and other parts separately.

Your exhaust system is perfectly fine, what you would want to upgrade are the exhaust manifolds. IMO get either ported EMs or just get headers. Other than that the rest of your exhaust is fine.

Don't go to a 3.4" pulley, use the 3.5". You'll most likely get less performance than with a 3.5", and you can still use your stock belt.
FWI for sure, colder intake temps. mean less KR and more power.
I'm going to have to dissagree and say go with an exhaust. With just a FWI and a 3.5" pulley, you'll be able to spin trough first if you're not careful, or you have no-so-good tires. Get PEM'*, high flow cat and a good flowing muffler, that with the intake and pulley, you'll be set, and a PCM if you desire.

NO NO NO -don't get the Thrasher CAI -I had it and it is absolutely worthless as far as shielding heat from the filter -which is why I sold the box for $10. I switched to the 3.5" Intense FWI and I found better throttle response, and more power, plus a more notable SC whine at high rpms.

Where in South Dakota are you located? I have a few mods here from demodding my 99 SSEi like:
*Intense FWI ($100)
*Ceramic coated ported front exhaust manifold ($75 installed -I can also get you a ceramic coated rear PEM for another $75)
* ZZP PCM $65 and your PCM (you'll need a CASE Learn with this)
*ZZP Underdrive water pump pulley ($40 -requires a little grinding of the passenger side motor mount)
*Ported M90 supercharger with a modular pulley setup (3.4" and 3.3" pulleys) for $300,
*3 inch exhaust system - TRUE 3" mandrel bent DP, no cat, 3" HF resonator, 3" piping back to where the exhaust goes between the back wheels -stock 2.5" from there to the IMCO HF muffler with Magnalow stainless steel dual walled and resonated rolled lip exhaust tips similar to stock look, but MUCH nicer (I suggest a Magnaflow high flow cat from ebay or www.justmagnaflow.com) -$100 and your stock exhaust system (this exhaust cost me all of $350+ so far).

I will give you a package deal for $700 (+ $75 if you want the rear PEM also) and your stock parts in return (delivered) if you aren't more than 200 miles from Sauk Centre, MN (zip 5637 and will deliver and help install all parts except the WP Pulley.
