L67 ROLLER ROCKERS
What'* the deal with after market roller rockers with these motors? I don't want to change the cam but would like a little extra lift so they are right up my alley. Are the SLP'* good or the Yella Tella'* the way to go. I also seen rebuilt stock rockers as well but I'm not to sure about those. My main question is about the stock springs though. WIll they need to be replaced or are they good enough to hold up to a 1.9 rocker? I really don't want to change them but I will if need be. I assume the 6 on the back side are a pain to change out.

ZZP (Yella Tella'*) 1.84 Roller Rockers are just what you want. Roller Rockers with the highest lift without changing stock springs.

Cool, that'* what I was looking to hear. Do you know if the stock valve cover gaskets are reusable or should I put out the cash for a new set. What about push rods, are they reusable or should I get the new guys. I doubt any of mine would be bent 45k on the motor.

Take a look at www.intense-racing.com and www.zzperformance.com
Both sites offer packages beyond the ratio suggested. It'* all about what you want, and what supporting mods you're willing to go with. Springs, rods, and rockers can be had as a package if you wish.
Find a local member, team up, have some beers, and 4 hours later you'll be set.

I think some people have run 1.9'* with stock springs...I wouldn't say its the best idea. I was going to upgrade my springs when I was going to run 1.9'*; also because I had 97K miles on my motor. Figured better safe than sorry. But the stuff never made it into my car before I wrecked it so I have no input on installation. Coincidentally I have some new 1.9 rockers and oil restricted push rods for sale...

Im getting the 1.84'* from zzp (same as the yella tella'*) for a few reasons
easier install
no risk of valve float
no springs needed (less install, and stiffer springs wear on the drivetrain quite a bit more)
cheaper (then roller 1.9'*)
the gains are more then reworked 1.9 stockers, no deflection, no valve float possibility....the roller 1.9'* would give more lift (i believe they're about 2hp more, plus more timing advance, so they'll wield about 5-6hp more) but the install is more expensive, time consuming and more wear on the engine.

I think I'll stick with the 1.8s as well. I don't want to change the spring and don't want to play with fire. I broke a few springs in my LS1 and that was a huge headache.
