Trans Cooler Question?

I want to install a trans cooler in my 92 L27. Question is what is a good one and where to mount it. I see alot of people mount them in the front of the condensor but isn't that counter intuative. I live on the east coast so during the summer it's hot so when the AC is on the condensor is hot, very hot. So why are people mounting them in the front on the condensor. Is there somewhere else a trans cooler can be mounted?

Most people put them infront of the radiator, in the airflow. One that's controlled by a thermostat is good because it allows it to get to a good temp, but then keeps it cool.

unless you are having problems with your trans, you probably dont need one. It makes alot more places to leak fluid. I would suggest saving the money for something else. Do you have a 180 tstat in?

Done that the 2nd day of owner-ship(exactly a week ago). Other than the normal maintance I just wanted to prolong the life of the trans a little more. I currently have 114k on it now.
