SERIES 1 STAINLESS VALVES
i just had to post this. just got my new valves today from SI Valves in simi valley,CA
they are 1.770" intakes and 1.500" exhaust. they are stainless steel and undercut at the head and swirl finished. stock valves are 1.710" intake and 1.490" exhaust.
not too bad for only $9.95 each

Hey Jeff...thanks for the post. I was considering these also...Let us know when you install them...
PS..What rockers do you use...I am planning my "spring cleaning" taskes...Damn.. I hope it gets warm soon..'

i finished porting and polishing my heads and dropped off everything to the machine shop friday morning. they should be done by next weekend. nthe more i thought about it, i figured that since i had a set of 93 roller fulcrum rockers here and mine is a 92, i just redrilled the bolt hole from 5/16" to 3/8" and got (12) 2"x3/8" grade 8 cap bolts with an allen socket head. they fit great. i sent them to the machine shop too just to make sure that there would be no interference with my new cam. i also have a set of series 2 rockers coming too. just to see what i can come up with. i still havent found valve cover spacers yet. after looking at intense racing'* website. the series 2 L67 covers are different than the series 1 covers. but the NA series 2 are the same as ours.
ill let you know when i get them back and post some pics of them.
it cost me a total of $131 for 6 intakes valves, 6 echaust valves and shipping from CA to PA. i didnt think that was too bad of a price for stainless oversized ,undercut ,swirl polished valves.

I will defintely want some of your advice in the future...btw...the 2.2 pulley I bought from you is awesome...still looking for a intake w/filter..any suggestions...

i found my tube on ebay and you will need an adapter to connect it to your TB. anything larger than your throttle plate it overkill. unless you have a 75mm+ throttle plate, 3" is good.
as far as the rockers, i have a 92 and found a set of 92 heads for 50 bux. plus, at higher rpms, the 3/8" bolts will be more durable than the 5/16" bolts that retain the 93-95 series 1 rockers.

Man how do you find all these killer parts for your rebuild? You better document the suppliers so we can enjoy the performance from them too

the key to finding these parts is doing the research and not being afraid to try something new. the valves are actually for a buick grand national3.8 turbo RWD.
what took the time was to find someone that would custom grind me a cam to what i wanted.
