Default Tranny acting funny on my 95 SLE

I think I am haveing some trouble with my tranny. Sometimes while I am driveing, and I try to speed up to a faster speed quickly, my RPM will drom to like 2000 and just lock, and the car will have trouble accelerateing. On the other hand, my car can sometimes just will accelerate normaly.

This isn't normal, any suggestions on what to do?

Wat you mean by drop RPM and lock up? you mean O/D \ TCC??? IF that is the case.. first thing to check is your ignition system.. plug, wires, coils and such..

If you mean something else.. err.. need more info.. but I'm sure the gearheads will jump in here and throw the books at you.. Service manual and more expierience worn book that is

On SSEI.. light throttle bout 68KM/h on Tamara'* 95 SE it'* bout 80~85ish KM/H

Just wondering the obvious.. have you checked your tranny fluid level? Color is it clearish red? does it smell burnt? When was the last time the fluid got changed?

yeah, it locks at around 58-59mph. and wont go unless I let go of the gas pedal, and then reaply pressure to it. The RPM drops from like 2900 to about 1900 and then just stays at that RPM setting while I continue to accelerate. RPM wont increase unless I let of the gas pedal and then press on it again.

I checked transfluid, and even filled it up, not burnt, and its the correct color.

That really scared me at first, but I guess it is typical for */C'd cars to lock up at 40mph@1100 rpm.

Shouldn't lock in at any speed less than 48.....

My car won't back shift out of OD/TCC until I hit almost half throttle maybe on a hill when I try to accelerate....This doesn't sound like too much of a problem.....Sounds about normal to me....Now if you're punching it, and it'* not downshifting or getting out of TCC....Than you got a problem.
