I have done alot of searching around and I was wondering if someone could recomend a brand for Cold Air Intake. I am having trouble finding them for an 88. Thanks

hmm, not to sure if there are any kits that will bolt straight on. i know multiple guys have made their own so you might wanna go that route.

You could do something like I did, I just took a Spectre stretch hose "from autozone" and get a boot and two band clamps to mount it on the TB. then just stretch the hose wherever you want and put a cone filter on the end of it.
BUT, there is an IAT sensor which measures the air intake temp. this has to be pluged back in or else it will cause the check engine light to come on. the sensor in ontop of the stock intake box and it screws out. just re-mount that in whatever tube or hose you dicide to use and your ready to go!

as you may notice in my picture the IAT is actualy just hanging in the stock air box, thats because I have yet to put it into the intake.

There'* a write up in tech info about making your awn cold air box. You would need to adapt it to your car. But the idea should be about the same.

I have looked at the boxes online on making my own. Some of them are made out of plexi glass and it looks nice but I was wondering if that would give enough insulation to keep it cool.
