Tire time...help!

This is the basic route I'm taking. Doesn't have to be one of these, but I'm looking at least a H, preferably V or better, speed rating with an aggressive tread pattern good for both dry summer days in the city and snowy nights in the winter. Plus I want to spend less than $100 per tire. Yes I'll be drag racing at the track with whatever tire I buy.

Not too familiar with the Yoko's, but whatever you buy, SIPE them. Worth every penny, and it won't affect your tire warranty. Most prefer you to sipe them.

Siping is when they cut into the tread, supposed to help traction especially in wet conditions. A lot of tires are coming pre siped.

Pre-siped isn't siped if it's molded in. Not possible. They call it that, but it isn't. Siping needs to be done AFTER the wheel is mounted.

It also helps the tire cool faster, which preserves the lifetime of the tread.

Look up TIRE SIPING on Google.

Wouldnt that be false advertising? Could there be different types of siping?

Yeah, I was looking at the same tires, Yoko Avid V4's. I did some research and they seem like a good all around tire for the price.

Let me know what you think if you get them, I really need tires before winter.

I just bought new BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's in 30-9.50x15 (full set of 5) for my '92 GMC Jimmy 4x4. I had them 'siped'.
I'll probably be going in to have my GoodYear NASCAR Eagle#1 235/55R16 tires on the Bonneville SSE done in the next couple of weeks. These are great tires for the Bonneville. Good ratings, even in the snow, but even better if they're siped.
This is a GOOD THING to do to your tires.

CHECK OUT all the links and read the articles and look at the pictures.
There's a LOT of information on this site, even if you decide not to get the procedure done to your tires.
