Difference in E.T and MPH (OL Blue & Goldmember =CRAZY!!
Well, I just dug up the post I made announcing Ol Blue'* track #'* from when I took her up to BIR on August 3rd, and when I took Goldmember up to BIR on September 8th.
If you ask me it'* pretty friggin crazy how close the two would have been running side by side.
Here'* the post for Ol blue:

Now here'* the #'* from Goldmember:
(Page 2, 4th post from top)

pretty crazy that the E.T.'* were only .001 apart, but the mph was 1.67 mph faster in the higher E.T.
Then to top it off Ol Blue would have pulled alot better E.T'* and higher MPH if I didn't have the rotten Taylor'*, drilled 180* t-stat, fresh plugs, and good ECM in it. I know when I sold it (minus the CAI) the car pulled alot harder (even though it didn't feel faster due to a much smoother ride than Goldmember'* air ride).
Hopefully now with the new mods I can drop about .6-.8 off the E.T. and add about 1-2 mph. Details to come -what'* I've been doing lately has been kept low key here on BC -just waiting to finish a couple more mods and I'll give you all the pics, and info.
Hopefully I'll get new track #'* on October 9th at Rock Falls, WI (Jason, Seth, Gordy, Kyle or anyone else from MN, WI, IL interested in meeting up then? the MNCGP guys are planning to get together there as it'* the last day they are open to the public).

Track prep was removing the lower portion of the rear seat, floor mats, and anything unnessary. Also removed the drivers headlamp and bracket.Als had a full tank of 91 octane (filled up 45 miles before the track -just didn't want the same results as the last trip to BIR with Ol blue -a over heated fuel pump with 1/3 tank of 103 octane race fuel) and 1/2 can of Sea Foam in that.
When I was leaving town I remarked to my brother that with the way the car has been running (miss-fire under accel, and running 200-215 coolant temps) to my brother that I was hoping for a 16.6 at around 80-81.
Well, it wasn't too bad of a guess. With the sky clear and sun out temps were 73* and my very first run I had quite a bit of miss-fire of the line and managed to pull a 16.665 @ 82.38. So my guess was right on par for the e.t., but my mph was better than guessed.
Right after my first run I decided to check my coil/wire connections. DAMN!! Were they ever dirty. Cleaned the coil pins and let the car sit with the hood open for almost 1/2 hour.
Run #2 had quite abit less miss-firing and I had a horrible 60' (2.430) and netted a 16.507 @ 82.65 (which would be my highest mph of the evening, but still almost mph slower than my bad run last year). at the end of this run I noted quite abit of valve float (right at the very top of 2nd gear). Engine temps when I pulled into the staging lanes was around 175, and about 190-195 at the lights. Going through the traps I noted engine temps of around 205-210 (Damn I wish I'd have remembered to put the drilled 180 back in).
Run #3 with a track temp of 76* would turn out to be my low E.T. run with a 60' of 2.358 (still getting horrible miss-firing), 1/8 of 10.515 @ 65.86, and at the traps 16.457 @ 82.62.
Made two more runs, but was trying to see if letting the trans shift to 3rd would help. If I was going another 200' it would have, but it was sluggish (need to install the trans cooler) shifting and so I pulled off 16.7'* in both of these runs.
For reaction time'* I had a worst of .276, and on my 5th and last run I pulled off a .012, which was one of the best R/T'* anyone there had that night, although some chick driving her 1992 Grand Prix SE 4dr (3.1 V6) was pulling damn consistant .007-.030'*. She also ran consistant 17.75'* - 17.80'* at 75-76mph. She definitely was a great bracket racer. She said she made 6 runs and the biggest margin in e.t.'* was .053!!!!
Well here'* a break down of my best run (lowest e.t.). Pics of the time slips will be up tomorrow.
R/T .200
60' 2.358
330' 6.771
1/8 10.515
MPH 65.86
1000' 13.735
1/4 16.457
MPH 82.62

Yeah, and I can add a L36 SSE to the list. The trip to the track was a learning experience. I didn't even have to unplug the WSS'* -they weren't even there and that'* why my ABS and TC lights are on but no codes when scanned.
Anyhow, 84.88 mph in 16.536 on the first run and on the second run I managed a 16.458 @ 84.35. MPH is higher than Ol Blue, but the E.T.'* are slower (lots of wheel spin with no VSS sensors). TM really was pulling timing until around 35 and then the car really took off. If I'd gotten to the track sooner (or even gotten home from work sooner) I'd have done some track prep but since I got there so late and only had 30 minutes until they closed the staging lanes I just ran 3 laps (no cool down in between).
Anyhow I'll post more tomorrow -I am SOOO tired.

The SSE probably would have been quicker, due to TM restrictions, and due to needing some tuning up. Then, on the same note, the SLE was out of tune also, and there is a lot that has been done to the two that could cause both vehicle'* to turn in better #'*.
Who knows, maybe next year I can talk Jay into coming to the track sometime. It'd be quite fun.
At least this year I'll very possibly get to run next to Seth (for the first 200' anyhow) at Rock Falls.

I'm for sure planning on going. I need to get my hand on some of those spring blocks to stiffen up the rear though, I called the Pontiac and Chevy dealer in town and they didnt have any. :?

Seth (and Jason)
And I'll see what'* available for spring blocks.
What size should I be looking for? I'll see if I can get enough for 3 cars.
