Default Possible to eliminate AC from the picture?

My AC compressor is making some nasty noise..ost likely due to it being close to the ground and in front where all the road dirt and grime and get to it.. sound like a good reason for it to go? I get a very low refrigerant msg from time to time..
**wondering if it is possible to bypass the AC compressor by putting on a smaller belt? has anyone ever done this? I will be replacing the AC compressor in the summer when I need it but until then I am looking for a temp fix untill then......

doesn't removing components from the belt/pully setup increase hp.maybe just a smidge :? I mean like drag cars dont have pwr steering or alternators...... maybe a dummy pully like a caviler might have just to put in place of the ac comp' till i replace it? cause i wanna upgrade from R-12 to R134a is it? yeah

but does anyone know of the measurement length for the belt? and has it actually been done on a 3800? cause it looks as if it might not clear everything....

on top of that how hard..what was involved in the 134a upgrade? thanks

Watch it there guys! It all depends on what engine style we've got here first! Some, you can't bypass the AC or the belt would be routed wrong & turn the Water Pump BACKWARDS!

Some of the older cars had a belt diagram that had without AC routing as well.... If this was a series 2, I know this would be a problem.... How about this Rat, If you didnt have that pesky mount in front of your serpintine belt would you be able to bypass the AC compressor with a shorter belt? You have a 92 bonnie with the Vin # L 3800 right...?
Yes I do & I can't bypass my AC too!
