Welcome to BC, I asked the same question in one of my first few posts. It can be done, but for the money it would be cheaper to just buy a SSEi. The fuel rails are different along with the SSEi'* having a HD (heavy duty) trans and a few other things we dont have. The search button here works great and will definately be your bestfriend when you have questions, so get well acquainted with it.

Depends if you want looks or performance. For performance you could do a FWI (fenderwell intake) or CAI (custom air intake), 180* drilled t-stat, aftermarket PCM and a shift kit. The first three come in a level 1 performance package from Intense Racing http://www.intense-racing.com/. It'* the second or third from the bottom. For looks, you coluld clear your head and tail lights info on how to do this is in the techinfo section, it'* a free mod in you have the right tools and it looks pretty good IMO

First things first.....

Welcome to BonnevilleClub :P

well, here goes
You CAN install that on an SLE, but you would need so much work it ain't even funny.... LIM from an SII L67 ( Series II supercharged 3.8 )

Trans is slightly different, mounting brackets for accesories, harmonic balancer, not to mention PCM and some wiring in the harness is different.... Yeah, it takes a ton of work to do it and make it right. It is honestly most likely cheaper to buy an SSEi unless you already have the SLE and can find an SSEi engine, trans, PCM, and wiring harness...

In the meantime, you can check out www.intens-racing.com for some upgrades for an SLE. We have had a few members get stuff from them for their non - supercharged cars and been very happy

Put your year and trim level in your sig. it helps others when you ask for help. If you are lucky and live near other BC members, they more than likely will be more than willing to help you with anything you are trying to do

do you recommend the level 1 or level 2 package for the prices???? how much more gain would the level 2 actually be for $500 more??? how difficult would installs be for someone not real familiar with workin on engines???

If you have the extra 500 on hand, I'd say go for the level 2package. If not, I'd do the level 1, then buy the rest of the parts of the level 2 packge as money permits. The gain is 15 WHP and 18 CHP with regards to the level 2 package of the level 1

I know this site is not very ZZP friendly but the SS m-90 is a viable option cost around $1500 ,I have been running this kit with a SS IC and a 3.5" VS cam and a standard rebuild on a 4T60e with a shift kit for about a year with no problems ,a top swap is another option for maybe a little cheaper ,the key is getting your tuning down pat ,it seems most that will try and dicourage these options have no experience with them so there advice is worthless IMHO.Chico.
