Default How to get Maximum Acceleration

http://mclements.net/mrc-PowerTorque.html

I found this linked on ClubGP. It is a very interesting article about gear ratios, forced induction, and mostly on how torque and horsepower come in to factor with your car.

I learned quite a bit reading that. I figure I'd put this in the Performance section, since this might help in that area.

Damn, Sol. Good one. One of the best I've seen yet.

We've collaberated on a few articles that cover portions of his article, but never did the whole ball of wax like that.

I wonder if we should try to produce something like that with our combined knowledge, specific to our Buick drivetrains?

It would be a great resource for our members.

Ok, I just emailed the Author, asking permission to adapt his article, and combine it with ours to produce something specific to our cars and drivetrains.

Thanks again, Sol.

Yes, you did. From the Author:

Bill,

I'm glad you enjoyed the article. Tell me a little about your group. Is it SCCA related? Are you guys SCCA members? Engine builders? Drag racers? Open trackers? Autocrossers?

Feel free to use my article in whole or in part as you like. Could you send me links to the articles you are writing? I would enjoy reading them and I'm curious how you and your readers are using the information.

Regards, Mike
