Addco Rear Sway
Anybody know the measurements for a rear sway bar on a '92 SE?
Last winter my front sway bar on my '92 SE snapped (it had pitting and rusted out). I believe the stock size was 32mm. When I went to replace it I of course got the biggest bar I could, a 34mm unit (probably an SSEi part). It'* a ton stiffer than the old one. That is nice for keeping the front body roll to a minimum, but the car now understeers like mad.
Thus I'm planning to get #419 (http://www.addco.net/products/pontiac.shtml). It'* a 22mm than I'm hoping will give me a good handling improvement. I'm wondering how big a jump this is from stock.
I'm going to measure my rear bar, not right now, but this weekend when I install my dual outlet Magnaflow muffler. but if anyone knows the size that would be great (Deathrat )

I may not be a weeze at these kinda thing.. but if you went to a stiffer sway bar in the front ( like you said you purchased ) and a softer rear sway bar.. you're going to experience more understeering.. I would stiffen up the rear and leave the front one stock ( or have it less then the rear bottom line ) This would cause less understeering. Is the understeering in the middle and exiting turns or just initially.

No, the Addco bar that I'm going to purchase is not softer than stock...it is stiffer...so therefore it should balance out the larger bar I replaced in the front.
The stock rear bar is probably in the teens, the Addco unit is 22mm.
I am just wondering what the stock SE&SSEi rear sway bar sizes are, so I can get a rough estimate of how much of an improvement the Addco will give me...
