Computer needed?
i have a non-supercharger L27 now i wnat to put a factory supercharger in do i need to put in another computer or can the stock one read properly

The only way that an originally N/A car got a supercharger on here is when people actually get the L67 engine transplanted in.
Good luck with the turbo though. You'll be one of the first turbo'ed Bonnies around here.

I haven't read the other forum topic that was posted ... but you MIGHT get away with */c injectors and fuel pump... and the */c chip/computer... but your tuning would be crude and prolly have to keep the boost prettly low... (like under 10 psi from a pretty small turbo ... like CT26... T3... kinda range) .. your best bet would be custom chip and high octane all the time... even then your boost is gonna have to stay low and the turbo pretty small (for a 3800 v6)

yea but i have a sister car to the bonnie i gots a lesabre basically the same thing ive been told also about turbos that if i keep the boost at like 10 like you guys said the comp wont fk up the performance and im posting while m drunk right now lol so dont mind the typos!

If you're going to attempt to put an SC on an N/A 3800, the L27 is MUCH easier then the L36.
You have the same compression ratio as the L67, you have the same heads, block, crank. However your Pistons, rods, aren't forged, they're shot peened, and pretty beefy.

Is it possible? Sure. The only way to make it cheaper then dropping in an entire L67 engine, is to find a parts car, or someone with parts. I've got 50-75% of the parts to attempt this, i'm basically down to the smaller items. Reliability is completely unknown however, but it seems you're willing to have downtime.
Best bet is to find an L67 for $500 or less.
