Ok guys don't laugh. The local dirt ( clay ) track here has a street class that races 1 lap around a 3\8'* mile oval drag race style. I've been watching this class since I was about 5. I'm nearly 40 now.
it seems that any car that can cut 14'* in the quarter could win.
I want to race the Bonny. It'* more of a grudge match type thing.

Any suggestions for temporarily making the Bonneville turn left ?
What about only adding air to the right side of the auto leveling suspension ?
Adding rubber spacers to the front right ?
I already have the interior out for detailing. So I can't remove much more weight.
Remember ... it'* one shot ... Ba*** to the wall . He who has the biggest kahouna'* wins.
Also, this is just for fun and i know I have a chance of bending it. No comments about that.

run your front tires a little low... rear tires on the high side... rubber coil spacers in the right side... and run your ebrake on just enough to get your rear tires to drag a bit .. if you've got adjustable sway bar end links... loosen up the front a bit and tighten the rear right up

then go find a dirt parking lot and learn left foot braking and throttle lift over steer into a corner

basically what you'll end up doing is combine sprint car and FWD drifting ... you can come into the corner hotter then most others will dare... transfer the weight to the front wheels ... that way you won't understeer into the wall.. and since it'* FWD and dirt you can accelerate out of the slide into the next straight... basically toss the *** out and don't care about it anymore

and I'm not going on from reading a magazine ... I did rally driving and a little motorsport we have here called "crash to pass" .. basically dirt oval racing and demolition derby combined.. you have to hit the guy in front of you to pass him ... I'm also a big fan of FWD drifting WITHOUT use of an ebrake ... .. but seeing as this is a momentary sort of set up using the ebrake to help you a little is let goable

Cool thanks for the info! The drifting part is what i was worried about. If the car pushes I'm toast.
If I can get the rear to hang out a little I can stay with a rear drive car. Power is not
really the issue. It'* handling and sticking to the bottom. We shall see. I may pay 20 bucks and get few open lap sessions.
I just want to have a little fun in it before I detail it.

Good luck on this, and i sure hope you dont get hit by a crazy driver on this dirt track. Also be carefull your windshield don't eat a rock! If you've got HUD, you'll be paying out your A** for a new windshield.

Yeah I've saw a few crazy folks out there. The secret is to try and line up with the nicer cars. They don't want to wreck anymore than you do.
As for the hud windshield. Yeah , it could break. Like I said.... I could wrap the whole thing around a barrier wall. The point is to try and NOT do it.
If you play ... you gotta pay. It a chance you take.

A little brass trophy and the HUGE bragging rights that I smoked my buddies '67 camaro.
I'm in it for the fun mostly. A guy was out there last week in a hot GTP.
He had the " tail out " thing down pat. He smoked some impressive iron and won.
It was worth it for him just to get out of the car like Dale Jr and pump his fist in the air and yell like an animal. Also, I get the steak diner of my choice ... and the ability to never let my buddy live it down.

It is to me ! Honestly, if I had to lock door handles and lay a few Nascar doughnuts on the side of the other car i would . I don't want to ... but i would.

If I wound up with a big rubber doughnut on the side... i would wax it every day ...

Life is not a spectator sport. I could get YEARS of enjoyment out of that scrape or the doughnut on the door. Some folks don't understand this.

When I get 70 ... I could look back and laugh and know I had fun.

Actually you will want the rear stabalizer links looser. When i had the solid sway up front, and the hollow one out back for a week, it was very squirrley, the backend was just kinda hanging out, and not following the front worth a dam.=n.. Felt like 3 wheels everytime i turned.
