Headers will give you more horses but can need more work to get fit.
Ported manis will fit no problem. Depend wich headers you got tought, mine were a bit of work to get to fit, but the power increased was huge (i had a 3.4 pulley).

If you notice a difference going to a stock pulley to a 3.4 , the headers give more than that (its what i felt, more mid-high rpm power)

The best mod i got.

If you plan to go fast, headers is the choice.
But ported manis will help reduce KR too and will be less expensive.

To this day my dad still claims that his TOG headers were the biggest gain of any mod he did to his car. Bigger than his Intercooler or Cam.

You shouldn't be dissapointed with headers to say the least.

You know my response.

I agree with Mike and Shawn that the best gain will be with the headers. HP for the dollar though I'd have to say goes to a good set of PEM'*.
If you have the $$$ and enough mods (or will) where stock mani'* won't do, go with headers.
PEM'* are just an affordable way of not having to spend almost 1G for headers, while supporting a lightly-mildly modded engine.
While you will see a fair gain from PEM'*, headers will do more, but at a big cost difference.

I got PEM'* for 100 bucks shipped, and got a slight gain from them. I got them mostly to kill KR rather than make power. It did the job.

If I had the money I'd get headers though.

Even though I'm n/a I noticed a big difference between my old PEMs and TOGs. Midrange and top end seemed to be much stronger.

With headers the engine feel really better, it feel very smooth on acceleration, but stronger in same time, you will not believe the difference.
