Stock T-stat

I was just wondering what the stock t-stat is on a 1992 bonneville sse because I installed a 180 t-stat and ever since, it doesnt run well at all. I took it to a local shop and they said I should switch back and that the Temp gauge is running 15 degrees over the actual temp

A stock T-stat is 195.

Did you replace the gasket with you put in the 180 stat?

At least half the cars here are running fine on 180's, and some are even drilled. Still no problems, even in winter. Personally, I'd look elsewhere for your problem.

Define 'not running right'.
