Stalling at low speeds

Hi everyone, I hope you can help. My 1996 Bonneville SE runs great on the highway. Or around town if i keep the Tach above 1K. However, if i don't drive with 2 feet, the car tends to stall suddenly. The cars runs smooth, then all of a sudden the tach drops down to 500rpm, and it dies. if i can catch it and step on the gas, it comes right back. Most of the time though it just stalls. A quick change from drive into neutral and it always restarts. The car runs fine in neutral, or park. any thoughts.? Again it runs smooth, then just quits?? Mass airflow Sensor?, PCV? Fuel etc??

Thanks

Mike

I had a car a few years back, ran fine, but stalled about 20 seconds after I stopped at a light or something. It was a cracked vac line. Get some throal body cleaner and spray around the vac lines. If RPM goes up, you found a leak.

No problem at all. If that don't work we can try something else.
