Open Air Intake
I was wondering. Is it ok to use a cone filter on a stock air hose and leave the MAF screen in? The only problem to deal with would be the heat, right?

Your biggest thing will be HEAT and laminar air flow. You'll be sucking in all the engine heat then, even though it'* more flow. Go get a pipe... Stay tuned i've got one for another car that'* pretty much a 100% fit.

Cool. Yea, I was thinking about getting a diagram and measurements for the tube, then going to like Lowe'* or Home Depot and having them bend one real fast for me. One more question. My MAF screen is really dirty and has a dent in it! What should I do? Buy another one or clean that one up?

Try to clean it up. If you get a mandrel bent pipe (read SMOOOOOOOTH) and cone filter, you should be able to pull the MAF screen out. We've had various reports though of how well this works recently.

the lengths are going to depend on their bend radius for the 45* you need. get a foot on either side of the bend and size it up, do final cutting yourself.

I can have some rough basic measurments of the ADTR up by mid-day tomorrow.
An open element exposed cone is still better than a stock airbox, but you really should control the heat. Another project is in the works for that, too.
