Not enough interest. And custom ones would take a while and involve lots of these ---> $$$.

I have been told, by hector I think, not sure... What can be done with the tubular exahust is to have the tubes welded on the outside of the flange instead of the inside like they are from the factory... Then once welded on the outside you can go in and smooth out the or grind away the welds on the inside leaving a smoother surface allowing for better flow... Also another restriction is in the rear manifold where the rear manifold and down pipe meet up, usually the cuts on the inside are sharp at best and there is room for improvement.. For now, I think thats about all we can do for the 88-94 bonnevilles and the 95 supercharged bonnevilles... I was wondering if they would make a tubular set up for the 3800 II, but being that there are * & * headers for them, I think I would rather have the headers for my 95 bonnie... If I am wrong on any of this I'm sure Hector will let me know.. I always have something new to learn..
SEE YA.......

We did some flow testing on the manifolds. We found out the Series II cast iron manifold ported outflows the rear tubular manifold (stock and ported versions). This is because it has much smother flow and the tubular just slams the exhaust gases into the walls. The rear exhaust manifold welded on the outside only gains a few cfm per port which is nothing. There ya go.

I hear SLP Is the way to go unless you go TOG (the other guys headers).
Port and polishing your exhaust manifolds is the cheapest way and can help a bit.
Other than the two headers mentioned I have heard some bad press from the GP crowd and other owners who have purchased "cheaper” headers. From what I understand the consistency was not there and many non-sc cars were getting seriously poor results. I have also not been able to acquire true tests backing up any product other than the TOG or SLP units.
I have researched the final outcome and the cost and the best "deal" for hp return is the SLP units. I can get you any of the above as can anyone but the most important factor in any performance decision is not cost. Sorry if you want performance find the solution and save for it. Don’t bother with something that is only going to frustrate you.
Porting and polishing is a good option for the person who is going to stay primarily stock and really has no need for higher flow SLP or TOG heeders. If you have a non sc 3.8l unless you add a power adder ( nos, centrifugal sc, or turbo) you are not going to "need" SLP or TOG heeders. Once again if you have a series 1 engine and just must have headers then I can get you a set made. They will not be cheap but I am willing to get them for you. Yes and I offer a port and polish and thermal coating on your stock series 1 headers or series 2 headers for the cheapest price around. Decide what your final goal is first then make your decision. There is no point saving a few dollars to then spend more later on the same function.
If you want to save money with your car then have a plan and a goal. If you stick to the goal you will get what you want in the end.
