OBD1 Connector Install
I have an Actron CP9110 scan tool with the OBD1 connector cable, but my 94ssei has the OBD2 connector. Rather than having an obd2 cable shipped up here for about 50 dollars, I looked at the wiring, went to a wreckers and picked up an obd1 connector for a dollar. I then parallel wired the obd1 connector data wires and ground wires to the obd2 connector in the car, mounted the obd1 connector just beside the other connector and now have both styles on the car. I tried out the scantool on the obd1 connector and it works perfectly. Saved myself a bunch of money this way

That'* a great idea...
So many have modified cables and purchased additional equipment.. You probably were laughed at when you tried to pay for it...lol

Oddly enough, I was wondering this exact thing a few days ago. I had noticed if I tell my scantool I have a 94 or 95, it'll still give me all the normal data I would get. Some other stuff was erroneous, like specific cylinder misfires, etc.
