Shift Kit compatibility
 

So I want to throw a shift kit in to tighten up my shifts and clutches. Can I put a 4t65 shift kit in 4t60 trans

I believe you can not. Toddstar added something to his 4t60, give him a shout.

Good luck finding one... Ive looked high and low for one for mine... 94 and the only thing ive found was a shift correction kit and 1 actual shift kit, both of which had to be installed during a rebuild and the latter recommended beefing up the whole tranny while you were at it... so if your looking to rebuild i can see what i can dig back up... otherwise just change the fluid and filter regularly to keep her running and shifting properly

How do you make a shift kit for the 4t60-E? I know how to make one for the 4t65-E HD, but that's not the same as my tranny.

Bw sure to check the "pin to piston" fit as the pin bore can wear out and cause a leak.

There were 3 variations of the 60-e accumulator over the years. Not all have the same piston/spring setup. some use 2 springs for both the 1-2 and 2-3 and some have the piston on the bottom.

It's the same concept either way but just thought I would mention it.

And those guys are still running L67's mated to a 60-E?

Still as in 5 years ago? Yeah.

There's no reason a 60-e can't survive a lightly modded L67. Especially in a lighter car.
