I haven't had any problems, have probably had it on for 7-10k kms. The filter does get dirty faster than in the engine bay, but that'* pretty straightforward.

Im considering this as one of my many winter projects..im looking for a much cleaner look than the CAI...
FWI i think would be good, and maintence wise.well..its me! LOL
