Do you notice any change in sound with the installation of a ricer tube and a K&N? Mine sounds nice at WOT as you would expect but it makes an irritating noise at idle that is noticable from inside with windows up.
A heat shield should quiet things down a bit. What does yours sound like at idle?

cause the throttle plate is closed....and the restriction is the sound
and i have a heasshield and you can still hear it....people get in my car and ask what the sound is..
i say its the intake

One of the first things my fiancee asked me after I changed my pulley was "What'* that noise??? Is there something wrong with the motor???"

If your supercharged, its amazing, never been in an NA with a CAI, but im sure its similar in the sense that, any intake is loud...some just whine more than others..

I know what you mean about the sound. It seems like a lot of the folks here like it.. I don't really. It makes the car sound "junky." it'* just so loud.. that sucking sound. But, it does sound AWESOME under heavy throttle. I just wish you could get that awesome WOT sound without the annoying idle sound.
