Something I'm slowly working on (new format), but still a potential problem, especially with all the recent track visits we've had lately.
There are some members who feel 'left out' and desperate to gain times in any manner possible. There is some behind the scenes infighting regarding this as well.
Some have also noticed a 'ClubGP attitude' developing.
I'm still mulling possibilities, but at the same time, I'm open for input.

Jeff'* original intent for this site was to NOT have a 1/4 registry like ClubGP. Some of the competition isn't so friendly sometimes. Those of us who are members there understand what I mean.
He allowed me to work the last page up on a trial basis, and is really leaving it up to the Admins whether it stays or not.
I'm trying to 'massage' the format right now to be more oriented towards PROGRESS. This could have the positive impact of not having it so competition-oriented, but rather show a progression of quicker times for each car as mods take place. Just one idea I'm tossing around. Each member may have anywhere from 1-12 times listed in this manner.
Probably the easiest way to manage it would be in spreadsheet format. Or someone good with Java could throw something together. The current format is tedious and cumbersome to update, but wasn't bad when I only had to update it a couple times a month.

I agree with the above reasons why we should have it.
It also makes us stand out well, because we are showing everyone the potential that Bonnevilles have in the performance world. It does create competition ... friendly competition.

all I ask is someone with an 87-91 bonne be on that list! . I know what you mean where the immature people fighting over times and such, but do we have that problem now? We have a 1/4 list right now, even though there are few times on it, there are still times. I must say though, I do understand where you are comming from, with the whole thing of competition, and it may not all be friendly.

Ok, how do we handle Gtech times (or similar devices) ???
We know the Gtech is CAPABLE of giving accurate times, but only if you have a similar track run to confirm calibration.
We all have a pretty good idea of what a BS Gtech time would look like. Proof of Gtech and having it make sense, or disallow?
