Best performance = Dynomax
Best sound = Flowmaster

Either way get a Camaro style muffler with 1 intake and 2 outlets, the rest will have to be custom work. Go with 2.5" piping.

Do NOT go true dual exhaust. You'll lose low-end torque. If you want dual outlets, the adivice above is great, as well as the diameter. Don't go any bigger than 2.5" on an SE, unless you have some MAJOR mods to back it up. Putting a performance exhaust on incorrectly will COST you exhaust. Every ricer out there is a victim of this, but refuse to admit it.

Do a 2.5" Cat-back. You'll love it.

I'll let you know ASAP.
Gonna get it installed in the next two weeks.

I'm going to check with my "Uncle Bill" (...everybody'* got an Uncle Bill, don't they?...) and see if we can get some pix/sound set up so I can post them on the internet.
There'* a couple of places that have sounds to check into, but, not too many of GM'* 3800.
Mine will have the standard cat/exhaust to the MagnaFlow/ANSA resonator tips.
I have no idea what it'* going to sound like --- I'm hoping for something low and growly without any of the snappy backfiring I hear so often.

The MagnaFlow choice was because I liked the construction/engineering of the unit.
Check out the MagnaFlow site and you'll see what I mean about how solid it is. Amazing.
Part # 14266 is the stainless steel model that I went with.
The dual resonator tips are ANSA stainless steel units, chosen to assist in keeping the sound smoother.

Looks like I'm in the minority here for choosing the MagnaFlow.
Like I said, I don't know if my component choices will pan out yet.
I studied as much as I could and decided on this setup, which will require some professional and talented custom work to get the installation just right.
I spoke with the 'muffler guy' and he said I could take some photos of the installation.
He'* real sharp. I have no doubt it'll go together well.
The 'sound' will be a mystery until it'* all in and we turn the key.

I'll give a big thumbs up to MagnaFlow, I had had nothing but positive comments and the sound and the performance has been increbile.

Thanks in part to my exhuast, I destroyed a Saturn SC-1 off the line last night, I'm not proud of it, but...meh...

So ya!! Lets wait to see what Bus says, but I'm all for Magnaflow

OK, I just talked to Uncle Bill...
He says we can make a QuickTime movie, no problem.
So, that'* what it'll be.
Couple of weeks to get the exhaust done, and however long after that to get the sounds and video and post it.
I'm anxious.

I just hope I don't have to eat too much crow over whatever sound I get!:P
