Put MAF screen back in.
I put my MAF screen back in to see what kind of difference it made. Soundwise, I lost some of that engine growl I liked. Performance, I may have lost some low end torque, but gained some upper end HP. Overall, to 80 mph, no effect.

My mileage has seemed to remain more or less unaffected. There is a little less throttle response, but the top end seems to be a little smoother. I am probably going to take it back out, because I obviously spend more time at the low end. I did waste a Camaro after I put it in, and never got to the upper RPM range.

I took my MAF screen back out, and had the batt unhooked for about 30 minutes. Better throttle response. I live in the country and was going into town to see my fiance, about 10 minutes away. On the main road in, an Escalade was on my ***. We got behind a slow car, the Esc passed us both, then I passed and caught right up to him. We got to the first light in town, the driver, a late-20'* white guy that tries to look black and appearantly has too much money, decided to go for it, so I obliged. We were kinda close, but I was pulling away, then the weirdest thing happened. At aobut 3900 rpm, I got this huge kick of power like a turbo kicked in or something. My tires chirped, and I took off, probably much to the surprise of the Escalade and me. He probably thought I had nitrous!! I tried to recreate this later, to no avail. Power seemed to be up but not quite as high as that burst.
