Ready to drop to a 2.2" or 2.3?

I know I am going to get scolded for posting this  , but after I get my SC rebuilt, I am wanting to drop to a 2.3" or 2.2" pulley. I know I have to check for KR and check some other stuff, but I am wanting to know what other things I need to upgrade when I drop. I have a magnaflow cat already, and I know for a fact I need to do something about my cruddy ass ricepipe, other than that, I think I am ready to drop to a 2.3 or 2.2, I did some KR runs on a 90* day right before I pulled the SC off, and I surprisingly got zero KR with all the runs, on Sunoco Ultra 94. Also, I am not sure if I have the original fuel pump or if it's been replaced. Thanks. :)

Unless you plan on running the 94 octane all the time ... get some scans on 91/93. Your gas in Ohio is better than most of us can get, therefore I'm not surprised about the KR.

Did you get the chance to fix the exhaust where it poured smoke from the seafoam?

Actually no I haven't, I got a extra set of EMs I plan to put on also. I am gonna do some scans on 93 though, since it's all over the place, as so are Sunocos with 94.

I understand they are everywhere.

Somethings to think about though. The more you mod..the more the engine requres the octane. If you scan on 91 .. it could give you insight to how the car will be on 93 with a pulley. ;)

I got a problem though. No one sells 91 here. Lowest premium grade in my area is 93.

Mix with 87 or 89 to hit the octane rating you want. ;)

Fuel pressure is one of the biggest factors. You HAVE to be somewhere in the MIDDLE or HIGHER of the factory spec, as the demand will be higher.

Have you read the Techinfo article?

Also get some NGK-TR55s and gap at .055. ;)
