Beside The Mods Listed Above I Have A Thrush High Flow Glass Pack Muffler And A Drilled 180 STANT thermostat. So How Do I Further Improve Acceleration And Speed? My Budget Is Low Until After The Cost Of WBCF 07. Since Emissions Are Low On These Cars Could I Get Away W/o The Cat Altogether For One? For 2,what About A High Perf Coil Pack And What Brand?

LOL...your mods are listed BELOW

Honestly.. hotter coil packs are not going to net you any noticeable gains. Recently you tossed up a post about beating people at the track and which mods were for you, correct? You may want to refer to that post.

Til then.. my suggestion for your limited budget would be stickers. Yes, plenty of them.. it'* a known fact that each sticker gives a Honda 5+ hp. I figure being a domestic you'll need to cut the HP in half....therefore you should add more. Racing stripes are good for at least 50hp.

Edit...
I looked around a bit.. Seems your radiator might be in trouble, you may have a bad reading from your coolant sensor(*) and you are interested in swapping your TB for a N*.

Let'* direct you back to Sandrocks suggestions of a thorough tune up and TB cleaning. (Plus some stickers)

There are no 'low budget' mods that are going to net you any improvement that will allow you to beat any cars at WCBF. You may gain a little in the seat of the pants, but you're still an L27 going up against L67'*. I explained to you earlier that we BRACKET race. So it'* not about the car, it'* about the driver.

You'll get a head start against all the supercharged cars, with the intent being you finish neck and neck at the line. Handicapping is another term for it. So you don't have to Mod anything to compete. In fact, you're better off NOT modding for bracket racing. The more you mod the car, the less predictable it gets, and the harder it is to launch.

Get all the repair items knocked out, and make sure all the tuneup items are also.

Do NOT remove the cat. You will lose a good chunk of your low-end torque if you do.

Thanks. I Am Afraid I Am At A Loss. Dragging An Automatic Leaves Little To The Driver. Put It In 1, Floor It On The Green Light,go To 2 At The Top Of the Powerband(about 4.5k ) And 3 At The Same Rpm. Right Now I Est. My Time @ About 14 Seconds @ A Top Speed Of 86. Bluck That Seems So Slow. You Guys Are Not Like The Guys At The Parts Stores Who Are Too Happy To Sell. Stickers? I Dont Need To Remind You That Psych Power Wins Races! Anyway, They Do Prevent Unescessary Bs @ Stop Lights. Tb Will Get Cleaned Sat.

There'* no way your car will run a 14-second quarter mile. Try mid-15'* at best, probably closer to 16.

Do NOT launch in first gear. Put it in D and let the PCM shift for you, unless your custom PCM screwed up your shift points out of the powerband. Was it programmed for a second gear hold? I hope not. You don't deliver enough power at the top of second gear to hold through the line. You NEED 3rd gear to cross the traps.

Odd...I don't remember the shift point thread. :?

Red.. Will isn't being hard on you, there'* so much going on that sometimes the staff posts a similar thing a bunch of times and the response seems to get refined down to what appears as a harsh response. We try and keep it from happening..but hey.. we are human too.

Meanwhile.. if you search and look around..you don't have a chance of EVER hitting 14 and to toss it out like that is silly. Although..who am I to talk..I told you to add stickers and racing stripes as your best means of gaining HP on an L27.

I never told you to shift manually. Nobody does that at the track. I'm not busting your chips, just correcting you and preventing a disappointment at the track. Running anywhere near 14 is supercharged territory. There'* a HUGE difference between 14 and 16 seconds.

L27'* (properly geared) are GREAT off the line. But they tend to run out of breath on the top end. The L36 from 95 on had lighter rotating engine internals, tend to rev quicker, and breathe much better at the top. They have longer legs. Yet even they run mid-15'* modified, and 16'* stock.

Look I AM grateful Iam Not Banned. You Two Seem To Think I Am Challenging You. I Fully Admit My Complete Ignorance Of auto Racing. I Posted Here To Start For Mechanical Help. It Was Will Who Suggested I Race. When You Are Counting Seconds, Driving And Watching The Odometer @ The Same Time Being Off By 1 Or 2 Secs. Is Expected. Why Do I Not Say So To Start? I Am On A Cell Phone and I Have A Max Of 512 Characters And A Post Takes A Very Long Time. I Think I Sit BC out until I Get a mac in Aug.

Also, Bill And Will, Search If You Like May 12 For My Post With A Title That Starts With * O * ...Will Locked It So I Cant Bring It Up Nor Can I Post A Link From My Cell. I Was Wrong That Will Said To Shift Manually, He Just Said It Didnt Matter(in So Many Words) But I Cant Tell For Sure. His Technical Terms Were Mostly Lost Onme As Usual.
