Question on Performance Coil Packs

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to performance mods, so I hope you don't mind basic questions. I read (here) that you want colder sparks to prevent knock retard, especially when you're running other mods. So would something like this be counter productive?

It's MSD Blaster Ignition Coil Packs.

Those are exactly what I have. No real performance gain.

I have the same coils. You don't really get any performance gain, like Dan said; but you do get a bigger spark and better combustion. This will help keep your plugs in tip top shape and lesson the amount of soot generated throughout the exhaust system.

Those are what i have as well. I would say that they do give you a better spark and you need to do bigger wires as well to help with that. getting those on my car with PRJ wires and IRIDIUM plugs actually gave me better performance i noticed. If its made by MSD i garentee that you will get some performance out of it!
