Default NEW!! ZZPerformance Aluminum Roller Rocker

That is two choices now from ZZP - Comp Cam Pro Mag'* or ZZP Aluminum. Rockers and light weight pushrods for $399 not bad!

That'* not bad.

Would those lighter pushrods combat valve float and not require stronger valve springs?

I don't think the rods play that big of a part. Off the hip here..the springs need to be stronger to pull the valve closed.. while the rod plays some part in it..I doubt it'* that big.

So then what benefit do the lighter rods have?

Springs combat valve float, the push rods free up power allowing you to rev faster, less mass.

The lighter weight of the valvetrain components not only lets the engine rev easier but it raises the rpm where valve float occurs. So should be able to rev a couple hundred more rpm without valve float if the weight is reduced.

That would be perfect for me. I want to stay at 6000RPM, and since I have the funky '97 heads, I won't have to mess with springs at all.

But since these are new, I'll wait to see how people do with 'em.

These rockers are actually made by yella terra. The reason they come with pushrods is because custom length rods are required to be used with them. They are a good design and SLP has been using a version of them as 1.8'* for a while now.
