Pushrods with cam
With a stage 1x Intense cam will stock pushrods be fine? If not which are needed?

I believe "Billboost" is running stock pushrods with i S1X.

I'm running stock pushrods with my S1X cam; I don't plan on upgrading them till next spring or summer when I have even more plans for this motor

I'm running the CompCams 105 springs with a JP Performance timing set. Which I think Boosty, Rogue are too. Ed |

Yeah with the Manley 150s would be for a more aggressive cam, not to mention you would probably need to double roller chain and to run a double roller you would need to remove your balance shaft inside the motor. My Cam/Valve train setup is as follows. S1X cam CompCams 105 springs Manley retainers (needed for clearance on stock heads) Stock Pushrods Stock Rocker arms Stock Heads (but that should change in the spring) JP Performance timing set Ed |
You'll be setting yourself up perfectly for a 1.8 RR/pushrod package with the stage 3 heads 8)
|
You can rip valves apart with higher springs
