Default Summit cam, is it good ?

Like some people know, i may have to rebuild my engine (warranty thing)

if i have to pay for the repair , i will may be go performance, and im looking around for performances parts,

i found this:

Is it good? it say 5500rpm , is it the maximum? because stock its 5500...

That looks almost like this one I'm sure there would be a nice increase in power but I would reccomend one from ZZP or Intense & you'd probably would get better #'*. Not to mention that Cam from summit is $342 so a cam from Intense or ZZP would also be 42 bucks cheaper

Check out this page on Clug gp for the top #'* for each cam; but keep in mind I think that thread is more then a year old

I'd have to agree that a cam from INTENSE or ZZP would be better designed and investigated, not to mention track-proven when compared to one from Summit. INTENSE and ZZP specialize in the S2 3800.

It would take alot of work looking at the cam grind specs to know for sure. Even the INTENSE and ZZP cams vary slightly, but some of the variances are determined by their other offerings (header preference, heads, etc).

Thanks guys, thats what i was thinking too (better go with intense since they are well known to give a nice performance )

I was just curious about those, ... i will go intense.
