Default AFC Control *NOW WITH VID*

My problem with the TPS is fixed and there are no more codes. However, the engine surges when going WOT. Top of 2nd gear is worst. 4000-5500rpm. Do I just have to wait for the computer to learn the 1:9 ratio rockers? I've been told that its not valve float cause that would stop the revs from building completely. What I am experiencing is a misfire like feeling.

This is a confusing post. I'll just make a vid and have it posted by 11 am central time tomarrow.

The vac line was broken in a hidden place. Damn brittle crap. Was only a $20 fix, no biggie at all. If GM used better plastic lines it never woulda happend. Now I gotta figue out why its surging. :? It feels like intermittent lack of fuel.

I see in your sig that you have done the boost bypass mod?

Can you do me a favor and loosen the bolts and try easing up on the plunger a bit?
I have been reading up on 'flash kr' and it seems to stem from high boost cars.Your 3.5" should be safe but I would like you to try. You only need a 10mm socket.
You dont lose any boost but give the fuel system a chance to catch up before going to high boost.

I'll do it first thing tomarrow. Should I let it up all the way or just back up to the stock position? You're prolly right. I never thought of that and can't wait to get a DHP.

Watching this one like a hawk. I'm running VERY high boost for a S1, and currently have my BCA set to midrange.

With no car its hard for me to 'see' whats going on but after reading up on flash kr and thinking back on my car I wonder if some of my issues were not from the boost valve adjustment?
The status for most is to go back to stock or midway down, the ratio is like 4 out of 5 have issues with a fully tweaked boost valve but you need a good scanner to capture it and it always looks like fuel related.

I'll try to get ahold of Nate (lakevillessei), he has a full range scanner I believe. But I will re-adjust the boost bypass to low and video tape the resaults tomarrow. I am starting to kick myself in the *** for not getting a DHP before hand. I sure hope I can eliminate it.

Dont kick yourself anywhere, we're all here to learn.
Please scan before and after. Look at your RPM, KR, LTFT, STFT, TPS, O2 and MAF.
