Supercharger for Series II Engine
Hi everybody:
I have a '95 Black w/Graphite Interior SSE. The engine is a Seires II and has about 110K miles on it and still going strong. However, I don't intend to drive it until it reaches 200K. I'm strongly considering getting it rebuilt. I basically have three choices:
1. Domestic Performance'* V8 Caddy Upgrade with 40T80E tranny and a supercharger.
2. Rebuild my existing engine with new pistons, cams, etc. Add a supercharger. Replace my 4T60E tranny with 4T65E and add a shift kit.
3. Replace my engine with a '97+up supercharged engine. Rebuild that engine and upgrade the supercharger. Replace tranny my 4T60E tranny with 4T65E and add a shift kit.
The first option is probably the best in terms of horsepower (about 470HP), but also the most expensive ($10-15K). The second is probably the easiest to do and least expensive ($5-10K).
I'm looking to get at least 350HP or better from this upgrade. I guess my first question is has anyone gone from a N/A engine to a supercharged engine and replaced the tranny to 4T65E? If so, what supercharger would be the best? Does the Series I supercharger fit the Series II engine? If not, why not? Is it the throttle body inlet size? What other superchargers are available?
Currently, the engine is probably putting out about 215HP. That'* with a customized cold air tube, 9" SLP Cone Filter, no MAF screen, Bosch +4 Platinmum Spark Plugs, MSD Coils, new wires, sythetic oil and Z-Max engine additive. It runs smoothly and is responsive enough, but it doesn't have power I'm looking for. I want it to be faster than a Caddy Seville STS. I think, that 350-400HP would do it. What do you guys think?

If your budget allows, go with DP. You'll be the first to try it.
Forget option #2.
Option #3 is the most practical where a budget is concerned. Go with the entire 97 or newer drivetrain (engine and trans) and PCM/engine wiring harness. You'll have a stock 240 hp motor. From there you can start to mod. Getting to 350 with an M120 supercharger, ported and polished heads, ported exhaust manifolds, etc.....you can do it. It might end up being close to the v8 price, but you can do it in stages this way.
Series 1 and 2 superchargers are a different footprint and bolt pattern. TB'* are also different as you mentioned.

Adding a Supercharger to Series II Engine
Is this true that adding a Supercharger to a non-supercharged series II is virtually impossible? If I buy a Series II Supercharger, would it fit my engine? There seem to be plenty of ones available on E-Bay. Would it be a good idea to get one for future upgrade?
Would it be enough to rebuild my engine and add the internal parts of a */C engine? I guess, just doing that would get 300HP, then it should be enough.

If you want to 'bolt on' an Eaton supercharger, plan on more vacuum plumbing and wiring, a new PCM, new lower intake, heads pistons, etc. Your PCM wouldn't know what to do with a supercharger.
Like Jr said, it'* a totally different animal. Similar only in looks. Under the skin, way different.

Hmm.. what about bolting a M120 to series II like the newer GXP instead of the M90.. what else would be needed other then maybe reflashin of the PCM, and new TB ?
