Where can I get some of these parts?
I'm trying to make my car a lil faster in a 0-60 range, retain gas mileage, and make my engine run longer. I've narrowed my mods list to these:
Cold Air Intake (K&N)
Shift Kit
Now, where would I go to get these for my car, the '92 Bonnie?
What does the shift kit do performance and longevity wise, other than harder shifts?
What else can I do that'* somewhat cheap that will make my Bonnie run faster and for longer?
Thanks for all your help guys!

Here'* your shift kits https://www.gmforum.com/showthread.p...ight=shift+kit
Not sure if he has any at the moment though
And what do you mean by harder shifts? From my understanding the kits are suppose to make them smoother.

a shift kit will make the trans shift harder but at the same time make it last longer. as it is stock when the trans shifts it slips the clutches for a sec or 2 which wears them out faster with a shift kit it slams them together so they last longer. think of clutches in a auto trans like the clutch in a 5 speed stick if you slip the clutch every time you take off it wont last long. on the other had i have a friend that had had a isuzu pick up for 25 years and has yet to change his clutch because he does not slip it.
as far as will the 65E shift kit work in your 60E i dont know the answer to that but i would think it would. you could call or e-mail the maker of the kit and ask them.

Can't do much to the engine I don't think since you can tune your car, other than a CAI and headers and making sure everything is clean and the gaskets are in good shape
