Performance mods...not a lot of dough!
I am thinking of adding some performance mods to my bonnie and i need some sugestions on what to start with..keep in mind my budget is low... I just need to start out with the basics. I haven't done anything to ti but add the 180 t-stat and the tranny cooler. thanks

but you see, it's a bit of a gamble: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/techinfo/?article=40 |
humm nothing that could possible damage the engine etc...but i was doing some reading and quite a few have done this what are the gains? Oh and does all the modding eat up the gas? thanks

Most mods won't hurt your gas milage as long as you don't lean into the fast pedal from all the new power 8)
Most mods help the efficiency of these engines because GM choked them to limit power in their price range. Take a look at the ricepipe intake option. Thats what im doing. But then im going above and beyond that. The ricepipe could be done for under 100 bones. |

just bolts on without a lot of hassels..any down sides to this mods?
|
No downsides, should bolt on in under an hour. If its your first mod just take your time and do it all the way through and it should be fine. The more mods you do the more comfortable you'll get.
