Default Question on getting new injectors

i would like to get flow matched injectors for my bonnie. i was wondering what route i should take. i was thinking about the intense 42.5 lb injectors, and was wondering if i would need to get anything besides the kit. The intense site talks about tunning the pcm or maf for the injectors. just wondering the best way to do this. thanks for advice in advance.

According to your mods in your signature, you're nowhere near the need for those injectors, and they'll do nothing for you. Larger injectors will actually hurt you at this point.

You don't need them until you're outflowing your 36 # stock injectors, and you're not even close to that.

I suggest you get flowmatched injectors through FIE (a vendor here). Search the Forum for 'FIE' in the Vendor'* section.

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't work but would the flow matched set that I have from FIE work or are the 1995 L36 and 1998 L67 injectors completely different?

NA and SC injectors are completely different for both generations.

another question.... i saw a post in the past about there being a pool of injectors at FIE, i was wondering if i should go to a junkyard and get a second set and send them along with mine, or what would be your advice for getting a good matched set.

It'* always best to send 12. Many pool injectors fail over time, and I'm not sure (I can dig up the spreadsheet later) how many of that injector type are in the pool.

that would be great, i'm picking up a set from a junk yard to send in, i'm not having the ones in my vehicle taken out until i get a good set back, so hopefully there are a couple of them in the pool..

I found my copy of the pool spreadsheet (had it in my home email, and spent 20 minutes looking in the wrong places).

There are 12 injectors remaining in the S2 L67 pool, but 4 of them were classified as 'leakers' or droolers the last time we tested them. Of the remaining 8, 5 of them fall into a 1.5% spread, but the closest injector to make a set of 6 would bump it to a 3% set. So sending in 6 or even 12 would be even better. The old injectors in the pool will probably be re-tested with yours (after rebuilding yours).

If you sent 12, it should be very easy to get a set sub-1%.
