Well.. as far as I know.. it doesn't make that much of a difference performance wise.. there'* minimal back pressure caused by the resonator.. and it might actually benefit low end torque a little.. I too have thought about removing the resonator just for pure exhaust sound.

I have an off-road downpipe on my car. I noticed a lack of low-end torque because of it. Pretty much all your power is moved above the 3500 rpm mark. Adding a CAI and doing some other intake mods will help you gain your low end torque back. I'm saving up for my ZZP high velocity throttle body.
