Mission "Accomplished"
Only got it once on a desperate attempt with a wicked red light, but I got the sucker darn it:
13.996 @ 97.68
The temp was 74F with 40% humidity and 30.15 barametric pressure. It was sunny and the track was sticky. Still not ideal conditions, but better than the 91F last time.
I was there with a local Autometer co-worker who has been with the company for a total of 17 years...so he was skilled in his '74 Cuda with a 360.
But we still did some bracket racing and I had one of the best launches EVER:
I broke out by .002!!!
The Cuda driver said I was the best competition he'* had in a long time, which is always a good thing to hear.
I'm finally learning how to launch this car and you can see I've really improved with that .013 R/T. I also had a .031 and .040 today. I'm learning to stay consistant with my 60 foots by keep them in the low to mid 2.1'*.
It was a good day, but I still have a chip on my shoulder. I want to never see the 14'* again...I want to stay consistant in the high 13'*. So that is the next goal I have set for myself and I'll do it by going with either headers or ported manifolds next year (whichever funds dictate when the time comes).

if you want cheaper headers check out the *&* ones, they are like $350 uncoated. It sounds like they would be good for what you are looking for.
